Black Squrirel Club is excited to host the Painted Brides Spring Jazz Series, spotlighting three exceptional artists and co-presented by J. Michael Harrison, host of WRTI’s The Bridge.
The Jazz series opens with a special performance by the internationally acclaimed Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, taking over Black Squirrel Club in Fishtown, blending electric bass (E’Lon JD), drums (Maison Guidry), and steel pans (Jonathan Scales) into an electrifying fusion of jazz, classical, rock, Latin, and funk.
Known for their jaw-dropping performances and intimate soundscapes, the trio has toured globally and earned an NPR Tiny Desk Concert featuring a cameo appearance by Béla Fleck. As they prepare to release their eighth studio album, this performance will showcase their latest musical evolution and the future of their dynamic sound.
