Previously scheduled Ismael Loutfi will not be appearing tonight. Instead we'll have comic Eli Yudin.
The Friday night comedy series at Black Squirrel Club continues with a double bill of headliners NYC comics Dave Ross and Eli Yudin.
Also featuring Josh Machiz (Amazon Prime, New York Times) and hosted by Jamie Pappas whose local hosting credits include Helium Comedy Club.
Dave Ross is an accomplished NYC comic whose credits include the popular TV series "This is Not Happening" and popular podcast, What's It Called.
Eli Yudin is a comedian and writer in Brooklyn. He’s been doing stand-up since 2010, and has been featured in festivals such as Bridgetown, Cape Fear, Crom, Crom South, and more. In 2018 he launched the podcast What A Time To Be Alive with co-hosts Patrick Monahan and Kath Barbadoro, which has grown to a weekly listenership of 10,000. He’s also known for creating (along with Carey O’Donnell) the viral twitter account @NotTildaSwinton which gained 45,000 followers in just 5 days and was covered in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and PAPER, and was recently mentioned in Vanity Fair’s “The Decade in Content.” He has a personal twitter account at @eliyudin where he’s reached over 25,000 followers by tweeting a lot of useless (but funny) garbage. He’s done a variety of work for CollegeHumor, including appearing as a guest on game show Um, Actually, co-starring in D&D video podcasts TablePop and MegaDungeon LIVE, voicing multiple animated characters for the Dorkly YouTube channel such as Thanos and Smart Pokemon Trainer, and writing two episodes of the series “Breaking News” for their video service DROPOUT. He also served as a writer on UCB Maude Night sketch teams Roanoke, Monaco, and Archnemesis, and contributes to Cracked.
Featured comic, Josh Machiz is a Philadelphia-based musician & DC born, comedian, theater maker, and composer who has been confusing and delighting audiences across North America for the last 2 decades. The Charm City Comedy Festival describes him as “Surrealist Stand Up Comedy.” The Walt Whitman High School Newspaper lists Josh as “a former student.” Josh Machiz has been entrusted to hold babies by no less than 4 mothers and “has never dropped any of them.”
